Custom emerald bracelet handcrafted with reclaimed silver

A family friend asked me to design and build a bracelet containing 16 emeralds for her goddaughter's 16th birthday.

In a handmade fine silver frame suspended by chain maille links in the Byzantine style, 12 emerald chips surround an antique carved emerald, representing the goddaughter. Two small emerald chips at either end of the framed antique emerald represent the godparents watching over her. The 16th emerald is embedded in the handcrafted clasp. I was honored to help create a treasured memory.
